Leanne Andriash - email

Leanne's journey at Clarke Starke & Diegel started in the summer of 2005 after graduating from Fanshawe College in 2004, with a Diploma in Business - Accounting. Leanne currently looks after the ongoing bookkeeping needs of several corporations, including payroll and GST returns, assists clients with their accounting software set-up, and training in particular with Simply Accounting. While also, preparing year end compilations and versa other quarterly financial statements. Leanne moved to Kitchener Waterloo from a small town and is involved with local sports such as baseball, hockey, golf and works out at a local gym.

Adam Burek - email

Adam started with Clarke Starke & Diegel in January 2006. He completed his Honours BA in Economics and Accounting at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2006 and is working towards the CA designation. Adam grew up in the town of Stayner, two hours northeast of KW. He will be married in the summer of 2008 to fiancé Sarah Reid and the two plan to make their permanent home in the KW area. Hobbies include spending time with family and friends, hiking in the woods, cross country skiing, recreational poker and following his favourite sports teams (the Leafs and Blue Jays)

Bradley J. Clarke - email

Brad joined our firm in 1983 after graduating with honours from Durham College in the field of Air Transport Technology. With the country in a mojor recession and the airline industry particularly flat in the early 80's, Brad switched to a career in accounting. As an accounting technician in our firm, he services the needs of many of our small- to medium-sized corporate clients, acting as controller for several of them, and provides personal income tax expertise as well. Brad is the president of the K-W Badminton Club and has served as treasurer for several sports organizations and teams. He has managed and/or coached minor baseball and hockey teams locally since 1995.

Heather N. Coburn, B.Sc.B.A., C.A. - email

Prior to arriving at Clarke Starke & Diegel in 2004, Heather received her accounting experience at Deliotte & Touche and Collins Barrow. She graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina where she attended on a tennis scholarship and obtained her C.A. designation in 1995. Heather now enjoys golfing and curling.

Catherine Deckert, B.B.A. (Applied), CGA - email

Catherine graduated from Conestoga College in 2001 with a diploma in Business Administration - Accounting and from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 2005 with a Bachelor of Applied Business Administration Accounting and Information Technology. Catherine joined Clarke Starke & Diegel in 2004, and has recently obtained her CGA designation. In her spare time, Catherine enjoys spending time with her family, biking, and reading.

Angelique de Nijs, B.A. - email

Angelique started with Clarke Starke & Diegel in September 2005. Angelique is a recent graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting and is on her way to obtaining her CA designation. She is currently working in the Assurance part of our practice, working on a variety of review and audit engagements. Born and raised on a farm in Chatham Kent, Angelique enjoys time spent outdoors with family and friends. In her spare time she enjoys reading, badminton and alpine skiing.

Beth de Nijs - email

Beth started with Clarke Starke & Diegel in January 2007. Beth is working towards her CA designation and is currently working in the Assurance part of the practice. Beth is a recent graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting. Beth was raised in a small town in Chatham-Kent. In her spare time Beth enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and skiing as often as possible.

Carl F. Elstner, B. Math, C.A., CFP - email

Carl, a graduate of the University of Waterloo, received his C.A. designation in 1975 while working with a national firm. He joined Clarke Starke & Diegel in 1978 to pursue his interest in small to medium-sized owner-managed businesses. Carl obtained his Chartered Financial Planner designation in 1988 and is a member of the Canadian Association of Financial Planners. He is particularly interested in estate planning. On a personal note, Carl enjoys travelling and has recently trekked through Costa Rica and explored Australia, France and Italy.

Penny Kikuchi - Reception - email

Penny joined our firm in 2005 and we are delighted that our clients are greeted by such a happy, energetic and helpful person. In addition to her duties at reception, Penny looks after our file and archive rooms and assists with word processing. Away from the office, Penny enjoys her family and going to movies.

Susan Nagy - email

Susan has been with Clarke Starke & Diegel since 1998. She brought with her many years of experience in public accounting as well as various managerial and controllership positions. In addition to her work on review, compilation and various taxation engagements, Susan has extensive knowledge of a variety of computerized software programs and assists many clients with their software setup, training and ongoing bookkeeping issues. She also shares responsibility for training our new staff, who benefit from the vast body of knowledge Susan has accumulated over the years. Susan leads a busy life outside of the office; she and her children share an interest in judo training.

Joel S. Nahrgang - email

Joel joined the firm in the spring of 1997. Joel's primary job, along with auditing and tax preparation is systems administration, as well as providing computer support for a number of clients. Joel also provides training on most accounting software packages. Joel enjoys hiking with his wife, especially in Colorado and Lake Placid and playing most sports.

Sandy Pacey - email

Sandy joined Clarke Starke & Diegel in 2002, bringing with her fifteen years of experience in accounting. She looks after many of our clients' personal income taxes as well as corporate compilation and review engagements. Sandy assists clients with their accounting software setup, training and ongoing bookkeeping needs, in particular with Quickbooks. As a senior technician with tremendous experience, she shares responsibilty for training our new staff and is responsible for various practice management functions. Away from the office, Sandy is the Secretary-treasurer of the Waterloo Recreational Co-ed Slo Pitch League, bowls on a weekly basis and is learning to golf. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, reading and travelling. One of her personal goals is to retire although we don't want her to do that!

Ryan Pinet - email

Ryan first joined Clarke Starke & Diegel as a co-op student in the summer of 2006. Ryan returned to Wilfrid Laurier University to complete his degree in business administration in the fall of 2006. Ryan graduated with distinction in April 2007 and rejoined Clarke Starke and Diegel on a full time basis. Ryan is currently employed in the assurance portion of our practice and is working towards obtaining his C.A. designation. Ryan was born in Ottawa and raised in the small town of Deep River two hours Northwest of Ottawa. Growing up in Northeastern Ontario, Ryan spent a lot of time outdoors fishing, camping and canoeing and he continues to have a passion for the outdoors. As a child, Ryan was actively involved in many sports including, hockey, soccer, baseball and golf, and he continues to stay involved in sports as much as possible.

Blanche Sebert - Administrative Assistant - email

Blanche joined Clarke Starke & Diegel in 2004 bringing with her 15 years experience in professional accounting practices. Her congenial personality helps her to balance many duties and to ensure client satisfaction. She is responsible for word processing and client package assembly. When not working, Blanche enjoys the country life along with dancing and folk art painting.

Jennifer Stockall - email

Jennifer Stockall joined the team in 2000 and has 5 years experience as a Junior Auditor & Bookkeeper. She has recently resumed the duties of office administration for CSD including payroll. Jennifer is currently enrolled at Constoga College to receive her certification in bookkeeping with The Canadian Institute of Bookeeping. Her joy in life is her beautiful son whom she enjoys reading with, watching Spongebob cartoons, going to the Farmer's Market with & helping him with school work & karate. Also, she enjoys crafts, decorating her home, yoga and travelling to Disneyworld.

Magda Wiwatowski - email

Magda started with Clarke Starke & Diegel in January 2007. She graduated with distinction from Conestoga College in December 2006 with a diploma in Business Administration – Accounting Coop. During Coop Magda received experience in public accounting. She also is a university and teachers college graduate in her native Poland where she was a physical education teacher. At Clarke Starke & Diegel Magda primarily works on a variety of compilation, review and audit engagements. Magda enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, reading, and alpine skiing.
